Get rid of paint smell:
Leave the bicarbonate of soda in a bowl in the room, the smell will disappear faster.
Rust stains:
Soak some bicarbonate with water and apply to the rust stain

Smelly vacuum cleaners:
Add a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda to the vacuum cleaner bag to remove the smell. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil, for example.
Cat and dog basket:
Sprinkle with bicarbonate of soda and leave for a few hours. Vacuum. Now the basket is fresh.
Avoid bad odors in the litter box:
Sprinkle some bicarbonate of soda in the litter box when it's time to clean the box. Baking soda neutralizes odours and can prevent bad smells.
The car smells bad:
Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda on car seats and carpets, leave it on for a few hours or overnight, then vacuum it up. This helps absorb and neutralize bad smells.

Take some bicarbonate on a damp cloth and polish. Rinse and dry.
Clean silver cutlery:
Boil water and put the stopper in the sink or take a glass mold or similar.
Place aluminum foil in the bottom and sprinkle with baking soda.
Put the cutlery next to each other as they lie on their own.

Mix equal parts water and bicarbonate of soda into a paste. Push a little on the wall and chances are they will disappear. If the wall does not tolerate the treatment, try somewhere inconspicuous first.
Cleaning flower vases:
Fill the vase halfway with one part water and one part vinegar. Add a tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda. Leave for at least 30 minutes and then rinse. If there are stains left in the vase, take a brush and clean. Make sure you don't fill the vase to the top as it will start to bubble when you add the bicarbonate.
If the vase has a narrow neck, use a funnel to add a couple of tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda and a couple of tablespoons of uncooked rice. Fill with hot tap water. Put your hand over the opening and shake. Leave for 30 minutes with the rice mixture and then rinse off the vase.
Bicarbonate also removes odors from the vase.
